When does the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte return in 2022?

UPDATE 07/31/22: Sources confirm that the Pumpkin Spice Latte and other fall favorites will be returning to Starbucks on Aug. 30 — a week later than my original prediction. Get excited, fall fans! It’s happening!

CHICAGO — The end of July means a lot of things to spooky fanatics and one of them is this: The release date for the iconic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte gets leaked around this time. So when will the PSL make its 2022 return?

Splash of Spooky is guessing that the official return date for the famous fall favorite will be on Aug. 23 — one day before its release in 2021. Starbucks has been known to bring out the autumn beverage earlier and earlier each year.

While in previous years the company has released the drink on the last Tuesday in August, due to the drink’s popularity — and the growing popularity of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew — it’s safe to say that it will be more than likely return Aug. 23.

Stay tuned for the official Starbucks release date. In 2021, Splash of Spooky confirmed the release date by July 22, so that much-anticipated date will be leaked soon.

It’s also worth nothing that Dunkin’ Donuts is reportedly releasing their fall items on Aug. 17.
