CHICAGO — It’s official fall fanatics! The iconic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte is returning to Starbucks late August.
Sources say the official release date for fall beverages and merchandise is Aug. 30 — a week later from Splash of Spooky’s original prediction.
This is much later than Starbucks fans anticipated. While the coffee giant has traditionally released the drink on the second Tuesday of August, they were also known to inch earlier and earlier each year. So while most people assumed that Aug. 30 was way too late for a release (and were thinking it would be Aug. 23 or at least closer to Dunkin’s Aug. 17 date), that’s when it’s happening!

Not to worry, spooky fans. If you’re lucky, you may live near a Starbucks that gets their pumpkin spice supplies a few days earlier and get to have the treat before everyone else.
A menu of the upcoming Starbucks fall items was leaked on various social media sites by @markie_devo. The menu is pretty much staying the same except for the introduction of an Owl Cake Pop. But all your favorites will be back: Pumpkin Spice Latte, Pumpkin Cream Cold Crew and the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. Other favorites like the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Pumpkin Scone are also returning.
So now there’s just one important question left to answer: Which is better: the Pumpkin Spice Latte or the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew? Sound off in the comments. (I personally think the PCCB is far superior to the original latte.)
