CHICAGO — One of the major big box retailers dropped their 2022 Halloween merchandise online this week.
Party City’s website was filled with new Halloween items Friday. And while most of it was listed as out of stock in stores, a lot of it was available for online order.
It looks like Party City was listening to the spooky community because some items resembled those that small businesses have been showing off all year. Take a look at this banner from their website:

They have some Boo Bucket look-a-likes in stock this year. You can get a glow-in-the dark white trick-or-treat pail (that resembles the old school McDonald’s buckets) for $3.50. Have you all seen these before? They don’t usually promote them in this color combo, but buckets themselves aren’t new.

A favorite is returning this year — the pumpkin “eggs.” Target and Party City (as well as other stores) sold the plastic Jack-o-lantern eggs last year and they seemed to be a hit among the spooky community. They’re perfect for a Halloween “egg hunt.” Also, they’re called eggs because they’re basically Easter eggs in the shape of a pumpkin. They’re perfect for filling with candies or other small treats.
Costumes were also listed on the website and one of the biggest ones featured in the promotional photo is the costume from one of the biggest movie releases this year — “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Party City usually brings out items in-store beginning in August through September, according to their website.
