CHICAGO — As July comes to a close there’s one question on everyone’s mind: When will the iconic Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte make its 2023 return?
A Starbucks employee confirmed to Splash of Spooky the release date for the PSL will be Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. The last Tuesday in August is traditionally when Starbucks releases their iconic fall beverage.

There was initially confusion about this year’s release date. The two rumored release dates were Thursday, Aug. 24 and Tuesday, Aug. 29.
Food blogger @markie_devo and Halloween blogger Halloween Lovers Club shared a photo of the leaked Starbucks menu on Instagram earlier this week claiming the official launch date would be on Aug. 29. However, on Thursday, they published a revised post saying the new date would be a few days sooner on Aug. 24.
The fall menu features the returning PSL and Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew plus two new drinks: Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte and Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. The Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato will also be returning.
Returning food items are reportedly the Owl Cake Pop and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin. They’ll be joined by the new Baked Apple Croissant.
Dunkin’ Donuts is reportedly releasing their fall items on Aug. 16.
