CHICAGO — It’s time to plan out those fall outfits for the upcoming chilly October weather.

I recently went on a Friday night shopping spree to fill up my toddler’s closet with clothes perfect for the fall and Halloween season. While back-to-school shopping might not be everyone’s favorite, I personally enjoy the early availability of fall fashion, because it allows me to look through everything before it’s all picked over.

Take a look at some of things we purchased. We grabbed most of the items from Old Navy. They had a great collection of essentials and a ton of options for layering. Some of the tops we bought were only $5. The most expensive thing we bought was a fall barn coat for around $30.

KOHL’S

Kohl’s was the second store we visited which had a lot more of the fun and colorful Halloween pajamas I was on the hunt for. They always have great deals and a good selection of essentials and fun pieces.
