CHICAGO — The official trailer of the much anticipated sequel to “Hocus Pocus” has been released.
“Hocus Pocus 2” premieres exclusively on Disney+ Sept. 30 and the trailer was released Friday on YouTube and Disney’s social media channels.
The trailer opens up with an origin story of our favorite trio of witches. The Sanderson Sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy) are seen being banished from Salem, entering the woods and encountering a witch who gives Winifred Sanderson her spell book.

“They were right to fear thee,” the witch says. “Magic has a way of uniting. Happy 16th birthday, child.”
The trailer then fast forwards to recent times when a shop owner gives the Black Flame Candle to a new character — Becca (Whitney Peak).
Chaos then ensues when the Sanderson Sisters are awoken by the Black Flame Candle being lit. Then the journey begins as they try to find new souls to devour.
This movie is sure to stir up a lot of nostalgia. Anyone else super excited to watch it?
