CHICAGO — The much anticipated McDonald’s Halloween Happy Meal Pails, or Boo Buckets as they’re affectionately called, make their return next week.
This spooky fan is excited because my plan is to head to my local McDonald’s on Day 1 (which is Oct. 18 for those not obsessively counting down the days) of the release to grab a Happy Meal. Here’s hoping my local spot has the orange pail.

Now, while it’s not confirmed, my theory for why McDonald’s brought back the buckets this year is because of their popularity within the spooky community. Tons of small business have been creating items inspired by the pails for a while now.
